Every manager wants to get millions of organic visitors and direct bookings, but every year Vrbo & Airbnb get bigger, and cost of Ads go up. My thought was if you can't beat em join em until I saw what this property manager was doing.


The last seven years I worked at a channel manager and managers and managers kept telling me how they didn't want to pay Expedia & Booking.com 20%-30%, but they produced bookings. All of this content then links back to listing content on your site along with rentals that are nearby these activities or are tailored to certain guest personas.

Where Do You Start?

You want to start by writing content that people are already searching for. You can do this by using google keyword planner or a number of other tools such as SeoMoz or uber suggest that estimate the number of monthly searches for a keyword. These tools can also show the competition which is also how hard it is to rank for them and the average cost per click. This will surface opportunities for lower competition keywords that have a good amount of traffic.

Creating Content
